K9 Friends began more than seventeen years ago with a spirited Belgian Malinois puppy named Kaden, who came into the life of our head trainer, Cici. Kaden was more than a companion — he became her closest partner and one of her greatest teachers.
Kaden’s energy, confidence, and willingness to work led them both into French Ringsport. Training alongside a small, dedicated group gave them real experience in trust, patience, communication, and respect. Those lessons still guide how we approach every dog today.
Watching Kaden grow from a mischievous puppy into a steady, happy companion inspired Cici to found K9 Friends Inc. Since then she has devoted more than seventeen years to dog behaviour and training, helping dogs and their owners live together in a more balanced, connected way.
Our goal is simple: create a place where dogs are understood, appreciated, and supported for who they are.

Our property sits on 2.5 acres in Clayton Heights, on the Surrey–Langley border. That location was chosen deliberately: it is close enough to Langley, Cloverdale, and Surrey to be part of a normal routine, and far enough from busy roads to give dogs real outdoor space.
Daycare, boarding, grooming, and training all run from the same site. Dogs who attend daycare recognize the property and the people when they return to board, which removes most of the stress of a first overnight stay.

K9 Friends was founded by Cici Cox, our head trainer and behaviourist, and has been operating for more than seventeen years. Training philosophy and assessment decisions are led by her.
We are on 2.5 acres in Clayton Heights, on the Surrey–Langley border. Most Langley communities reach us in 10 to 15 minutes.
No. Our policy is all-inclusive. Suitability is determined by assessment and ongoing observation, not breed.
